What this service is:
EHS Legislative Alert is an innovative e-mail service that tracks federal and state EHS legislation nationwide,
and is customizable by jurisdiction, topic, and frequency of delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with timely e-mails summarizing federal and state legislative developments, delivered as often
as you want on the topics you specify.
• Get the facts you need on new legislation. Each e-mail lists the state, topic, bill number, sponsor,
title, latest action, and summary, and contains a link to a separate Web page, providing a list of full-text versions of the
bill and a history of all actions on the bill.
• Use the preferences tool to choose exactly what you want to track: jurisdictions; topics within or among
jurisdictions; frequency of e-mail deliveries; and status or action (e.g., introduction of bill, passage, enactment, etc.)
that you want to be notified of, which will trigger the summary to be included in your e-mail.
• Rely on the expertise of BNA's EHS editors, in cooperation with StateNet, to do the legislative legwork for
you -- performing daily searches of newly introduced laws and new actions on existing bills, verifying the inclusion of the
bill in the summary, and confirming the accuracy of the information.
• Speed up your research with a searchable Web archive, which consolidates in one place all the summaries containing
information about a bill.
• Use EHS Legislative Alert in conjunction with other BNA notification services or with the Environment & Safety
Library on the Web to cover all your EHS bases -- from breaking news to updates on federal and state regulations to insightful
analysis and guidance.
